gorgeous day~spring will be here soon~

Watching and waiting for Spring, that's what I am doing and today is a perfect preview! We are having lovely weather, sunny and the temperature is 70 degrees. Gorgeous!
 Already we are seeing robins.
Our lilac trees are starting to show green and many of the spring flowers are coming up. Each season brings it's own beauty and Spring is certainly a beautiful time of renewal.

I can't wait to get outside and start gardening projects.

I love fresh flowers and I need to have them in the house more often. The last time I had them was for Valentine's Day, the beautiful bouquet of roses, lilies and carnations that Dan gave me.
Of course they don't last forever, but  I tried to salvage them as long as possible. Below you see how I had three nice flowers left, so I cut them down and put them in my mini milk bottle crate. So cute!
Of course this pic was taken a couple weeks ago, the flowers are long gone now.

Have a happy week.

The latest..

Well, the snow melted after a couple of days. We have had temps in the 40's and most days are sunny. I am looking forward to Spring!
It seems so strange that we were in Florida one month ago, times flies and we miss our Florida kids & grandkids!! I have so many happy memories of our visit down there.
Here is another cute pic of Braedon, that my Mom took at Disney.
Kelly, Colton and Braedon being silly!
Dan and I have taken a couple days here and there this past month checking out real estate north of here in Michigan. We are looking for vaction waterfront (inland lake) property. Right now we are looking at many different areas, we don't want to be any farther then 4 hours from home. While we were gone last week checking out property, we met up with Dan's niece Rachael and her husband Shawn for dinner at Bennigans in Big Rapids, Michigan. We had a great time!  I haven't been to a Bennigans in years!

Rachael and Shawn live in a very pretty area, lots of woods and inland lakes. It would be great if we find something near them.

Hope everyone had a lovely Valentine's Day!  Dan had to work 12 hours so we didn't go out for lunch or dinner. But that's fine, we always make sure we spend quality time together.  Even though we didn't have a "date" on Valentine's Day, here is a pic of the gorgeous flowers I got. I am sorry to say that the photo doesn't really show how pretty they were.

Here are a couple funny pics for you!
Bentley watching TV, he does this quite often!
I was helping a friends' son with a school project, the little paper character stayed with us and I journaled about it and took pics..anyway, here is a pic I took with Patch.
This photo cracks me up!!!
 Take care

Almost October!

Very shortly, September will be over. My goodness, this month sure did fly by!!

September had many wonderful times, along with sadness, but I choose to
count it all Joy and be thankful.

Opening a gift from my dear friend, Mare.
She lives in California so Dan took pics to show her.

I love this figurine and I think of JOY when I see it.
I have much to be thankful for.
Thank you Mare...looking forward to seeing you soon.

Gorgeous flowers & card from Dan
Love the card from Kelly..she also got some cute clothes..sorry no pic.

My Mom baked me a raspberry pie..my all time favorite.
Of course Grandma's recipe!

more bd goodies from Dad & Mom

I received many messages, lovely cards and precious phone calls from my sons.
I am blessed with so many loving friends and family.
I was so happy that my youngest son, Chris came to visit this past week, spent a couple days with us.  He took Dan & I out for lunch at Biaggis for my bd.  Delicious!!!

I had to go to the doctor yesterday. My knees have been painful for a while, but have gotten alot worse recently to the point where I don't have full motion, especially in the right knee and I can't put all my weight on my right knee. Xrays showed that the osteoarthritis has worsened..I have an appointment with the orthopedic doctor on Oct. 6. I am trusting the Lord!

Happy weekend everyone & happy October!
~much love~

A lovely Easter

Easter Sunday was wonderful! We started the day at church celebrating Jesus resurrection! That is really what it's all about. Jesus sacrificing His life. dieing on the cross for us, our sins!  Then on the third day He rose from the dead, giving us the gift of eternal life!! Praise His name!!
The service at church was awesome! Praise and worship was wonderful, I can't express how much our worship team ministers to me, to our congregation..I think of it as a taste of Heaven. The special choir did a wonderful job yesterday as well and of course Pastor George's preaching was excellent! Thank You God for Foundation Stone Christian Church and everyone there!
After church, we had family over for dinner and hanging out.  Randy was able to make it, SO good to spend time with him, but Chris had to work, we missed him!  Jeremy, Sabrina, Colton & Braedon were missed greatly as well!! They are too far away that is a fact!! Of course Kelly was home, my parents were here, my aunt, two of my brothers & families and my sister & her family. Dan had to work last night, but he was able to enjoy the meal and spend some time with the family.
a few pics...

Gorgeous Easter flowers &  addicting candy
The hyacinth is from our church and the tulips are from Randy& Emily!

Cupcakes Jennifer made, so cute and tasted delicious!

Auntie Arlene & Mom

Today is rainy, but I really don't mind. I've been getting things straightened up around the house and doing laundry.
