~Memorial Day Weekend~

Happy Memorial Day to all of my American friends.

I hope you have a blessed Memorial Day weekend with family and friends.  

We don't have any special plans, Dan has to work so it will be our normal routine this holiday weekend.

We are having summer weather, sunny and hot.  Dan has been working on the boats, getting them ready for the water, in his "free time", which he doesn't have much of.

This morning we had to give Mr. B. aka, Bentley a bath because he decided to roll on a dead fish!  He smelled SO bad, I can't even describe how nasty it was. He is clean and fresh now.

My thoughts and prayers are with our dear friend, Susan as she and her family grieve the loss of Susan's Mom. We love you Susan!

The Grand Hotel~Mackinac Island

We had a fabulous time on Mackinac Island at The Grand Hotel, enjoying the Celebrate Your Marriage conference!!  I will post more about the hotel and conference in other posts this next week.
 

 The weather was perfect, sunny and temps in the mid to upper 70's.
This was the 5th year for Dan and I to attend this conference at The Grand and yes we are going again next May.  This was the first time another couple went with us..my brother Tim and his wife Jennifer. 
When we arrived on the island Monday, it was around noon  and we met up with my niece Alyssa and her boyfriend, they are both year round residents on the island. In fact Alyssa just spent her first winter on the island.

 We had lunch at Horn's Bar, then walked around a bit in town.

I popped into Little Luxuries of Mackinac, what a beautiful little shop and talking with Nicole was a pleasure!  You can see more of this delightful shop and read Nicole's blog  when you check out the link.

Back again...

Just a quick update..we are home and had a fabulous time! I will post later over the weekend. My computer completely crashed..so I reformatted and spent most of my free time yesterday reinstalling software, etc.

Fabulous Friday

Happy Friday!    It is a gorgeous day here, sunny and temps in the 70's.  My kind of weather for May.

Today is Dan and my  anniversary!  He has to work tonight, but went out for lunch and he gave some gorgeous flowers and a beautiful card.
We will have our big anniversary celebration at The Grand Hotel, on Mackinac Island, Monday and Tuesday. We will be attending  Celebrate Your Marriage! This is our 5th year attending this conference and we love it!  This year Gary Chapman will be one of the speakers!!  Here are a few pics from previous years we have gone.
