Cozy Day

No, it's not spring yet, after all it is only the end of January. We still have a couple more months of winter. But, today our temps will reach 59 degrees, breaking a record from 1914!

It is a rainy day, I am enjoying the scent of yummy candles, a cup of tea and a sweet treat.  I love the coziness of home on days like this.
My treat is a Triple Chocolate Chunk Muffin from Dashing Dish.  Click here for the recipe. It is delicious and low cal/fat.

Have a great week!

Cold temps and dreaming of Mackinac Island

Winter's cold temps have hit. Today we experienced a high of 12 degrees, wind chill of -2.  Tomorrow a high of 21 with snow showers. We did get a small amount of snow last night.
Here is a pic of Tucker's paw prints on the sidewalk.

Dan and I did go out late this afternoon to Meijer for a few groceries and dog food.   The rest of the evening, I will be relaxing here at home, warm and cozy.

I am thinking and dreaming of Mackinac Island.I am certainly looking forward to our trip there this May. The photo below was taken last May.

 Just a few months away!
In the meantime, I keep up with Nicole's blog at Little Luxuries of Mackinac.
Nicole has the cutest little shop on Mackinac Island and her blog is adorable!

This is what The Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island looks like right now in the midst of winter. This photo is from Mackinac Island Winters Facebook Page.
I hope your week is going well.
Warm hugs

Back On Blogger

Well, I tried to blog on my new website, but I find blogging much more convenient on Blogger. So I am going to blog here again. Sorry for any inconvenience.
I am going to keep working on my website, Joy For All Seasons, as I enjoy working on the pages. In fact right now I am working on pages displaying adoptions I have collected over the years from various graphic artists. Sadly, most of them aren't online anymore, so I am thankful for the graphics I did manage to hang onto.
Thank you everyone who read my post from January 15 and who are praying for my friend, Allana. If you didn't get a chance to read that post, I hope you will.

Dan and I spent last week at the cottage.
Took a pic of these beautiful horses one morning on our way to town.

We had Bentley and Tucker with us, they had a fun time playing in the snow all week.

Happy weekend everyone.
xoxo
