Butterflies, Flowers, Food & Friends

Happy Thursday! My goodness this week has just flown by.
Sharing a few pics I took this week. I was so happy to get these pics of this gorgeous butterfly. Not sure what kind it is.

Trumpet vines and Wisteria

Today Dan and I went out for lunch with our friends Cindy and Nick. We went to
Grandes Lagos Authentic Mexican Restaurant in Monroe. The menu was huge, so much to pick from. Dan had steak fajitas and I had chalupas. YUM!  (Sorry, couldn't find a link to the restaurant.)
Cindy and I are friends from way back,  since right after high school.  Sadly, we lost contact with each other for many years. Then we ran into each other about ten years ago, exchanged our contact info and we kept in touch with Christmas cards each year.  Then last September Cindy gave me a call, we met for dinner and talked each other's ears off! lol So much to catch up on!!  Since last September, we talk often and get together on a regular basis.  Here is a pic of the two of us at a Christmas party last December. Cindy is a wonderful friend, such a blessing to me!
Sharing about Cindy has given me an idea. I will share here, time to time  about different loved ones, friends and family. Focusing on one person at a time. Maybe do this once or twice a week?  Sounds like fun!

Have a great evening and God bless
xoxo

  2. lovely butterfly photos. It's hard to get a good piccie of a butterfly, they are such rascals and always flutter off at the wrong time. You did well :O)

How nice to have such a good friend. I have a friend who when we lose contact, we end up finding each other again and catch up as if we've never been away. That's a true freindship. When life clogs things up and stops you from getting together, but it makes no difference when you do meet up again. :O)

NOw. I've sent you an email at the wrong address. I only realised this morning. I have trawled through my old emails and cannot find your new one. When you get a minute, can you send me your email address please? I am blogging again.

    Have a lovely weekend xxxx

  5. Hi Pam! I love your idea of focusing on a family member or friend! I had thought about this some time ago, but my sons don't want "to be put on my blog". :-) I think I'll do it anyway. :-) It's really special that you get to enjoy spending time with Cindy. LOVE the pics of the butterflies! Have a blessed week Pam. I know you are super busy this week. Hugs!

  9. Hi Pam, how awesome you had a opportunity to reconnect with a old friend. It always amazes me, no matter how long we are separated from them, we can just pick up and talk for hours. :)

I love the idea of focusing on one person too...think I just might have to tuck that little idea in my hat.

    Lovely pictures you shared.

Hope your having a blessed week my friend.
    Hugs,
    Me
