Cold temps and dreaming of Mackinac Island

Winter's cold temps have hit. Today we experienced a high of 12 degrees, wind chill of -2.  Tomorrow a high of 21 with snow showers. We did get a small amount of snow last night.
 Here is a pic of Tucker's paw prints on the sidewalk.

Dan and I did go out late this afternoon to Meijer for a few groceries and dog food.   The rest of the evening, I will be relaxing here at home, warm and cozy.

 I am thinking and dreaming of Mackinac Island.I am certainly looking forward to our trip there this May. The photo below was taken last May.

 Just a few months away!
 In the meantime, I keep up with Nicole's blog at Little Luxuries of Mackinac.
Nicole has the cutest little shop on Mackinac Island and her blog is adorable!

This is what The Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island looks like right now in the midst of winter. This photo is from Mackinac Island Winters Facebook Page.
I hope your week is going well.
Warm hugs

  1. Beautiful island. Always recall the movie Somewhere in Time when I see photos of that place.

    It's freezing here as well. 17 right now in the afternoon.

  6. Hi Pam;

    Our temps have been minus single digits and only hitting 11 degrees during the day. Wish I was able to go to such a beautiful place like Mackinac, but I can't travel anymore. Just got my power back on. It's been out since last night. Probably caused by the snow and wind or a car slipping into an electric pole. Glad to see you are posting again my friend. xxoo
