New Website Coming...
Hi everyone! Sorry it's been awhile. Life is good and busy! We are enjoying a beautiful Autumn.
I love Autumn and wish it would last longer.
In other news..I am working on a new website!! I will let you know when I am ready to make it public and will share the link. My blog will be moving to the new site as well.
I miss the old days of web homes and using all of the cute graphics. I would love to see more people go back to having websites. I took the plunge and I am learning with the help of Susan and Judy. Before Blogger I used Yahoo Geocities but that has been years. Sadie helped me so much back then!

Happy Monday
Our grandson Colton turned 5 years old on October 6th! Here is a pic of our big boy with his new bike!
Sure do miss them all!! It is hard having children and grandchildren living so far away.
Our town is putting some finishing touches on a new light house/beach house.

Happy Autumn!
Tucker is doing well. Here are some recent pics of our "baby."
He will be 4 months old on October 8th.

I have been thinking of going back to the "old" way of blogging, using html, getting my own website. I am checking things out. In the past I used Yahoo Geocities and it was free. When that closed I went to Blogger. I think it would be fun to work on my site, using all the graphics I have bought or collected over the years. Especially with Autumn here and Christmas just around the corner! Does anyone else miss this?
Take care everyone!

End of August.
Hard to believe that summer is nearly over, but I am fine with that. This summer has been one of much happiness and much sadness. Dan's retirement and buying a cottage are blessings that I thank God for. We have had great times with family and friends, parties, vacation, many lovely memories have been made.
In the midst of fun, in the midst of happy memory making, our beloved dog Patch passed away. Patch went to heaven on July 8th, he was 12 1/2 years old, I am still very sad, but I felt it was time to share this, maybe it will help me, I still have so much sadness. He had an inoperable tumor, it's a long story, we did everything we could. But in the end, we had to make the decision to let him go, to end his suffering. I don't understand why these things happen and I never will. I am very thankful for the years we had with him and I know I will see him again someday in heaven. We love you Patch, my Little Man, Baby Dog.
No dog can replace our Patch. I am sure those who have pets understand what I am saying. But after a few weeks we decided to get a puppy, we have just had him a short time. Bentley gets along with him and the puppy is a cute blessing. I will always miss Patch, but this little one brings a smile to my face.

Retirement happenings
Dan is loving retirement and I am loving it right along with him! We found a cottage and are in the process now of buying it!! It is small 2 bedroom, 1 bath home on a large all sports lake that is part of a chain of lakes. It is on a nice piece of property and includes a pole barn. Sharing a few photos, mainly of the view and the yard. I will share more of the inside and more details when it is officially ours.
Dan has lots of plans and ideas for the property. We look forward to the time we will spend there.
This is going to be a quiet, peaceful and relaxing get away.
Dan's retirement party is this Saturday. He really didn't want a party, in fact he refused to have one for a while, but gave in. So many family and friends want to celebrate this happy time, so he agreed. It will be a great time! We are having it at a hall, the VFW that Dan is a member of.
Much Joy and Love

Beauty Treatment for Bentley
We have new dog grooming business in our town, Aunt Linda's Pet Grooming. Since Bentley was in great need of a bath, we decided to have him try out the new place.
He did very well there, looks gorgeous and we really like Aunt Linda's! I love the fact that it's right down the street, less then five minutes away. I think we will take Patch there in the near future for grooming.
Thank you Linda and staff!!
