Louisville~Joe Ley Antiques

Dan and I had a wonderful time in Louisville. The weather was very much summer-like with temps in the high 80's and sunny! The highlight of our trip was going to Joe Ley Antiques
What an awesome place! As the brochure says, "Two Acres of treasures fill the 1890 schoolhouse with a vast array of styles and merchandise sure to fit anyone's taste." Sharing the link to a short news clip I found on line about Joe Ley's.
Please check out these links if you have time, it is very interesting. Here a few of many pics I took while there.

OK, guess that's enough for now! Maybe I will post a few more tomorrow.
Take care everyone and God bless.

Summer Clothes & Doggies Teeth

Thank you everyone for your birthday wishes for Dan!

I was checking the weather for Louisville for this weekend and was shocked to see that the high will be in the high 80's! Now I have figure out what to wear on the way down and what to pack. That's fine, I am ready for capris and short sleeved shirts!

Yesterday Patch went to the vet to get his teeth cleaned and had to have 3 teeth extracted. My poor baby! Anyway, he is doing just fine. The doc put him on antibiotics and pain pills as needed. Also have to soften his dog food for him and make sure that he takes it easy for a couple days. Of course I know that we need to take better care of his teeth, brushing them, etc. I have never been good at brushing our dogs teeth and tend to let it go and forget. The vet office also gave me an oral gel to rub on his teeth and gums to prevent tartar buildup. Also recommended was therapeutic dental food by Hill's, which we are still thinking about. I need to check out their website.

Here is a pic of our smiley boy, Patch.

Take everyone. God bless!

Happy Birthday!

Today is my hubby Dan's birthday! Dan and I, and Kelly and her boyfriend, Dane went out for lunch at one our favorite local Italian restaurants, Detroit Beach Pizzeria. I had yummy gnocchi, casserole style and the rest had Mostacolli, casserole style. Dan has to work tonight, which is not unusual! But, he has Friday and Saturday off, so we are taking off to have some time away. We plan on driving down to the Louisville, Kentucky area, which is about a 5 hour drive for us. We are looking forward to it.

Here are a couple pics from today.
