Oops, I did it again..

I know, it has been over a month. I had planned on keeping up here, blogging most days.

What happened?

Well, let's start again, shall we?

We spent a few days at our cottage over the 4th of July.
Just Dan and I and our sweet dogs, Bentley and Tucker.

I never get tired of this view!

.  We had a good time with our friend/neighbor Rosie. Love here!

We paid a visit to Dan's Uncle Don and Aunt Jewell, while we were up there.
We love them! Such a great couple.
They have been married 69 years.
Uncle Don just celebrated his 88th birthday.

Have a happy & safe weekend!

Walking each other home

“We're all just walking each other home.”

I've always loved this quote and this painting is very moving.

Sharing some photos that speak this to me.
We're all just walking each other home

This is how we rolled

This is our family, I am guessing about 1970.

That's me on the far left..yellow wind breaker
and very cool knee socks. 😏

Those were days. Dad, Mom and all five of us kids
going places in that red station wagon.
Great memories, especially sitting
in the rear facing back seat goofing off with my sister.

Funny this showed up on Facebook yesterday!

Day 10 of 25 Days of Christmas

Day 10 of 25 Days of Christmas

Exciting News!

Yesterday was my oldest son, Randy's birthday.
Dan and I met Randy and his girlfriend, Emily
at Texas Roadhouse for dinner to celebrate.

Later that evening when Randy and Emily were home,
Randy proposed to Emily! And she said YES!

We are all beyond excited!! !
Emily is already part of our family, but making it official is very special.

This is an awesome Christmas gift!

Happy Wednesday!

xoxo

healing

Well, my knee replacement surgery on October 15 was successful.  The recovery and healing process is going well.  I had awesome care at University of Michigan Hospital.  I do not have one complaint.  My in-home nurse and physical therapists from HomeCare Connection were the best! My nurse was Pam, she was also my nurse the first time I went through this. I am so glad I have gotten to know her. Now I am in the midst of physical therapy at ATI Physical Therapy. ATI is a great facility and I love my therapist Sara.  Sara was my therapist after the first knee replacement. I am making progress, my knee is improving, I am driving now and feeling pretty good.

Here are a few pics I took while I was laid up.

Dan has been great, taking care of me, the house, the things I normally handle. So thankful for him.
Big thanks as well to all of my friends and family who have prayed,  visited, called, brought over food, sent cards, send text messages, sent flowers.  Love you all!
