So often I catch myself trying to burn that gingerbread candle of "good works" to mask the stench of something rotten in my life and only when I let God clear the mess, does the stink go away.Lynn Mitchellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06412103387731375323noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7056684897755961755.post-40889995557428268552011-07-11T12:10:07.824-05:002011-07-11T12:10:07.824-05:00Oh dear Pam, I bet that was an awful smell. I like how you've turned it into a positive though, and it made you think about masking over problems in life.

It reminds me of when Bill and I got married. When we returned from honeymoon, there was a yukky smell. I couldn't work out what it was, and thought it must be the drains of something. A few days later I finally found the culpret. A mushy and decomposing pumpkin in a basket on top of the fridge. When pumpkins got iccky they give off a horrid smell, a bit like rotting fish. It's horrible. I was so glad to find it though, and be able to clear it up and get rid of the stench. I suspect you must have felt the same!

Pleased you got to see the photo of Girly Girl yesterday. One of my favourites ever I think!

enjoy your sunday

Sadie

xxxsadie chttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14564494708680598287noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7056684897755961755.post-30112863241664981852011-07-09T21:32:53.341-05:002011-07-09T21:32:53.341-05:00Pam, I had to laugh at your stinky problem! I have left stuff in the oven I think it is a SUMMER thing--in our defense we dont use it that much in the summer!!--am I right????

Now as for those stinking attitudes - you are so right we got to get rid of them. I recently found a tip that works for me. Give myself 10 minutes to be mad, sad, whiny, gripy and whatever else then LET IT GO and be determined to enjoy the rest of my day. So far works great!! A bit harder when the person you are angry with is in front of you...but a bathroom trip and a mirror pep-talk and it is possible to get on with it :0)starlahttp://www.starleeta.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7056684897755961755.post-18651370709127090102011-07-09T17:49:05.683-05:002011-07-09T17:49:05.683-05:00Love the analogy Pam...Thanks for the reminder...i...Love the analogy Pam...Thanks for the reminder...it's so true!!

Sorry about the smell in your kitchen!!
